It’s OK if you’re still looking for a focus for your college education. TCC has two affordable, flexible options: the associate degree in general studies and the certificate in general education.
TCC’s Associate of Science in General Studies – 61 credits and four semesters – fulfills freshman and sophomore general education requirements at most Virginia public colleges and universities. If you complete the degree and meet the GPA requirements specified by a particular college, you will be admitted as a junior – and you (or your parents) will have saved thousands of dollars on the first two years of college. In addition, qualifying students may be eligible for transfer grants.
Transfer counselors are available on every campus. Call 757-822-1122 to learn more.
The Certificate in General Education consists of 33 credits (two semesters) that you choose from a variety of disciplines to help you meet your educational and transfer goals. While not as comprehensive as the associate degree, it will help you complete some of your college requirements. Currently, this program is not eligible for federal financial aid.
